Award Descriptions

• Distinguished Service Award: This award is presented to alumni in recognition of outstanding service and dedication to Lake Forest College.

• Outstanding Alumni Leadership Award: This award is presented to alumni who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in their profession or avocation that affirms the value of a liberal arts education and brings honor to Lake Forest College.

• The Richard W. Hantke Alumni Teacher Award: This award is presented on those occasions when the College wishes to recognize a graduate who has demonstrated extraordinary commitment to the field of education. Like the educator, scholar, and gentleman that this award memorializes, Professor Richard Hantke, it honors those who have dedicated themselves to the principles of life-long learning.
